I turned up here to see that my last post was regarding the 2025 Greater Chicago Jewish Festival (which was awesome, by the way). More than a year later, last week (Sunday, August 30) I had the privilege of exhibiting at the second annual Indiana Jewish Festival, which was organized by Chabad of Indiana and held in Carmel on the City Hall lawn.

I had a steady stream of foot traffic for the entire 3 hours of the festival, all from very nice people, with some interesting moments of my favorite game, Jewish Geography. Also, Carmel is a particularly pretty little area, although maybe not as famously beautiful as its eponym, Mount Carmel in Israel.

I will definitely look forward to next year’s festival… when hopefully I will also not be recovering from a 2-week power outage in Northwest Indiana that cut significantly into my prep time.

Note: The next biennial Greater Chicago Jewish Festival is currently being planned for June 2027, but they haven’t announced a date yet. My money is on June 20, even though it’s Father’s Day, because the 13th is Isru Chag Shavuot and the 6th is still during the Omer period when instrumental music is traditionally avoided. But we’ll have to see what they say.
